13 OCT 2005 - New dsRNA Primer Dataset Added

A set of 7216 dsRNA primers designed against all Drosophila gene conserved in man has been added to the database. The RNAi library was designed and developed by Edan Foley, Steve Rogers, Nico Stuurman, Ben Eaton, Pat O'Farrell, Graeme Davis and Ron Vale at UCSF, using a grant from the Sandler family. The UCSF library is commercially distributed by Open Biosystems.

06 SEP 2005 - Nine New Drosophila RNAi Screens Added

We have now added another nine RNAi screens to the database, seven from Drosophila cells lines and two from Drosophila embryos. There are four genome-scale screens, two of which are for bacterial host factors (Agaisse et al, Philips et al) and two for JAK-STAT signalling pathway components (Muller et al, Baeg et al). The two embryonic screens are for cardiogenic genes (Kim et al) and nervous system development (Ivanov et al). Three further smaller-scale screens for morphology (Rogers et al), microtubule motors (Goshima and Vale) and alternative splicing regulators (Park et al) were also added.

A new web-based Java tool for clustering RNAi screen data has been launched to enhance correlation of multiple RNAi datasets.

14000 yeast protein interactions from high throughput yeast two-hybrid and TAP-MS experiments added to the database

26 JUL 2005 - Seven New RNAi Screens Added

Phenotypic data from another seven published RNAi screens in Drosophila cell lines added to the database.
